10:11 P.M. this evening, Lincoln County Firefighters were called to assist Hawk Point Fire in the 100 block of Joseph Street in Hawk Point.
Firefighters arrived to find smoke in the attic, but no fire. After searching inside and outside, smoke was found coming from behind the electrical meter base on the rear exterior wall of the home as well as the eaves.
Firefighters used a chainsaw to cut through the wood siding on the home and extinguished the fire in the wall before it spread into the attic.
